About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for our content marketing machine to hit our commercial goals as well as achieve our company vision and establish the product; company as the industry leader in the corp-to-corp hiring marketplace.
To do well in this role you’ll need the following three skills:
1. Exceptional writing and editing skills. This is primarily a marketing content role. You’ll be responsible for creating a range of content that needs to be creative, entertaining, very comprehensive, and well researched. You’ll be creating content for an expert and specialist audience, so the ability to become a subject matter expert on experimentation topics is important. You’ll need to have the ability to write in an authoritative, witty, and engaging tone. You’ll also need a creative streak helping you guide other team members on topics and angles for their own content to ensure what they create works for the business and our audience.
2. Be a B2B demand generation marketer. Linkedin, Youtube and other social media channels are our primary channels. We don’t expect you to be experienced in every marketing channel but you should know how to approach a broad range of different marketing activities specifically in the realm of B2B marketing. We’re a Startup and this is a hands-on job.
3. Fantastic project management and communication skills. You’ll know how to communicate what you need to other teams in the company and to bring your ideas to life. You’ll be hot on keeping people accountable to deliverables and deadlines. You’ll be calm knowing you have a plan so that things are done on time and you know what you have coming up next.
This is a role reporting directly to the CEO and an exciting opportunity for the right individual to take your career to the next level.
You will likely manage a marketing operations person and will have the budget to work with freelancers.
Our current status
Email marketing and social media activity in general is driving the pipeline today. But we have to improve Word of mouth, referrals, and social organic content, also we need to increase the volume as well as increase our brand presence more generally. The main purpose of the role is to create content that drives awareness and pipeline, more sales qualified leads.
Our ICP is a US corp-to-corp contract hiring managers or their vendors and sales heads of IT Services companies who are more than 100 people companies (Bigger the better).
You will lead our content for brand awareness and lead generation efforts, and work with the sales team.
This is a perfect role for a go-getter who has a ton of ideas, loves to iterate and experiment, and can execute fast independently. You will be designing a machine, but also do a ton of hands-on work.
There is also a ton of opportunity to work with and learn from our partner companies as they ramp up demand gen and social media functions of their own.
Responsibilities
- Create in-depth, quality content on experimentation topics (blog posts, whitepapers, original research, case studies, newsletters, social media updates, supplier interviews, customer interviews, conducting expert roundtables, high quality tech discussions etc.)
- Implement the marketing content strategy and campaigns.
- Create quarterly plans and calendars to execute the marketing campaigns
- Manage promotion of content related to events, sponsorships, speaking engagements, YouTube video production, PR opportunities.
- Manage third-party marketing agencies/freelancers to a limited degree.
- Improve our Martech stack and make efficiencies in how we run marketing and content/media.
- Track and report on marketing spending and scorecard metrics, assessing ROI of campaigns.

- Manage and develop initiatives to build the profiles of our team, clients, and the wider experimentation community.
- Manage and update the website content, ensuring it accurately reflects our vision, offering, and culture, and that it serves as a hub for the company’s content and inbound interest.
- Work with in-house experts to develop content.
- Be available to review/edit content for staff speaking engagements to help ensure presentation content is in line with key messages.
- Develop content with partners and external parties, create cross-promotion opportunities.
- Consistently take learning/educational courses and lead education sessions internally or externally to level your own skills as a marketer.
Requirements
- 5+ years content marketing experience ideally in B2B.
- Exceptional writing style and proofreading skills.
- Experience within the conversion optimization agency space would be advantageous.
- Broad hands-on marketing experience across a range of channels.
- Willing to get stuck in and get things done.
- Ability to project manage multiple marketing activities and execute them on time.
- Great at building relationships across the team, with marketing vendors, content guests, and partners.
